Kurt Pimblett (he/they) is a queer actor and poet, who works between Naarm and Eora. He is a 2020 graduate of The Victorian College of the Arts (BFA Acting), and also holds a creative writing degree from the University of Wollongong, as well as an RSA valid in both Victoria and NSW.

As an actor Kurt has performed in iconic venues like the Malthouse Theatre (Because the Night), La Mama courthouse (Hearth), and Belvoir St (Hir), and also starred in queer Tik Tok series Scattered.

Kurt’s poetry touches on love, class, trees, and transsexualism. Kurt has long believed he will be the first transgender actor to win an Academy Award, and is currently yet to be proven wrong (he may also be having a Sam Smith 2016 Oscars Acceptance Speech moment, who can say? Not him).
